Our Favorite Things December 6th, 2022

We just love that we live in a city that supports small business, and local makers. When folks ask me what I love about Portland I always wax poetic about how I don’t actually have to shop at a large chain for anything, you can find almost anything you want made or purchased from a local shop. I’ve never lived in another city like this! The small businesses and small makers are one of the things keeping Portland so damn cool and unique!

Speaking of unique, we are in love of the color palette and the all the texture in these handmade coasters. Yes and million times over to these coasters made by Monaco Fibers. The maker is a Oregonian!

As far as Portland goes, Canoe has been a long time fave for unique and gorgeous homewares. Right before the pandemic they moved locations, so if you’ve had a hard time finding them, that’s why. Ultra stylish with clean lines and unique decor, you can’t go wrong at Canoe. We are crushing hard on this solid oak pepper grinder they are offering for sale.

Speaking of OG Portland places, Duane Sorenson (founder of Stumptown Coffee), has been hitting the….beans again and and making some pretty sick coffee. Check out their pop up at 2816 SE Stark. If coffee is important to you, which since you live in Portland, we know that it is, don’t sleep on Puff who’s brewing one of the most delicious cups in town.
