Can we all just agree that shopping on Amazon sucks. Everything on Amazon is generic, mostly made abroad, and it’s a lot like shopping at Walmart or Target. But honestly, shopping at Target is preferable…At least I actually know who I’m buying from…Amazon is like the Wild West. Before buying you have to read like a 1000 reviews just to make sure it’s not junk or a fake…
Shopping locally is the opposite. The shopping experience is pleasant, the products have been well selected and tested for quality, or drum-roll….made by someone in the building or close by. My favorite thing about local shops is the connection I have with the place; the smell, the pleasant conversations, the fact that I know I’ll find something lovely.
The idea of that all going away is truly heart breaking.
Even though I don’t have a shop anymore, I’m still deeply involved with the community. I couldn’t not be. These are GOOD people. They care, they give back…we don’t want them to go away. I simply won’t accept it.
My mailing list is large and has connections all over the city. And I wanted to reach out, to share some of my favorite shops with YOU. All the shops here has offered something (mostly in the form of a discount) so you won’t forget about them. If you’ve never discovered them, here’s an incentive to try something new. So please shop away! Support local, support your community, and let’s be strong together supporting these local shops, which I consider treasures.
