Need a change--Paint your door!

As this year draws to a close, I wanted to say THANK YOU for an amazing year in business!

I am still a busy bee. Look out for two more listings before the year comes to a close, they’re cuties! I have several clients buying, but we just never know when the perfect house will hit the market!

The Rona is surging again, and I don’t know about you, but for me that means my backyard hangouts are shutting down and I’m back to only hanging on Zoom. I’m still working, but less in the office and in the field and more at home, when that’s an option. No judgment here, just talking about my comfort level. We all have different ones, mental health being incredibly important in our choices.

Speaking of mental health, is anyone else kind of clawing at the literal walls? I have been too busy to do much home improvement, but I’m inspired by what I see out in the world showing homes. So, if you’re looking to do a light, but satisfying project, here’s an idea:

Paint your front door!

I love the pop of this door against the blue porch and the natural wood. Bravo!! I listed this house for sale September of this year.

Pretty pastel pink doors have been all the rage the last few years, but that trend is starting to pass. Being into all things fashion, I’m here to tell you that if you want a classic, yet punchy color think primary but brighter.

Some helpful hints:

  • Keep in mind that the color of your home is key. Choose a color that is complimentary to the color of your home.

  • Make sure you choose an outdoor paint. You want something that isn’t prone to chip anytime soon.

  • Don’t be afraid to mix down the color you choose. I usually choose 3 variations of the same shade when sampling to make sure I have the perfect color!

  •  Tape, sand and prime. Not all doors need the same amount of prep, but make sure you’re doing the right amount. Big color changes need a coat of primer for sure!

My home is a deep mossy green, and Burnt Coral has been calling my name for awhile. I’ll post before and after pics on Instagram! I plan to do this project soon, it really depends on work, but I’m goaling myself to finish before the end of the year.

Be well and keep referring me! Every referral is how my business grows! And thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to support me and my family! Every client counts! XO—

Bright orange against charcoal gray is legit dreamy. I was the buyers agent and sold this house in August of this year.
